Description

A classic French dish featuring a rich filling of bacon, cheese, and eggs, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 gluten-free pie crust
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in the crumbled bacon, Swiss cheese, and sautéed onion.
  5. Pour the mixture into the gluten-free pie crust.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
  7. Allow it to cool slightly before slicing.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired and serve.

Notes

For a smoother filling, blend the eggs, cream, and milk in a blender before mixing in the other ingredients. You can make a vegetarian version by omitting the bacon and adding more vegetables like bell peppers and zucchini.
