Ingredients
  

For the Strawberry Puree

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

For the Brownies

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strawberry puree prepared earlier

For the Strawberry Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons strawberry puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice optional

Instructions
 

  • Blend strawberries until smooth. Simmer puree until reduced by half. Let it cool.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix melted butter and sugar.
  • Beat in eggs, vanilla, and 1/2 cup cooled strawberry puree into the butter mixture. Fold in the flour mixture.
  • Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • Whisk powdered sugar, remaining strawberry puree, and lemon juice to make a glaze. Drizzle over cooled brownies.
  • Slice into squares, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

For extra pink color, you can add a few drops of natural food coloring to the batter.
