Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water and yeast in a small bowl; let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix gluten-free flour, sesame seeds, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in the yeast mixture and olive oil until well combined.
  4. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Shape the dough into buns and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg for shine and sprinkle with additional sesame seeds.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
