Description

A comforting gluten-free version of Salisbury Steak that offers classic flavors without the worry of gluten, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, gluten-free bread crumbs, egg, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Form into patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook patties for about 5 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Remove patties and set aside.
  5. Add beef broth to the same skillet and bring to a simmer. If using, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the broth to thicken.
  6. Add patties back into the skillet and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Serve with mushrooms if desired.

Notes

Best served hot, can be paired with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
