Description

Delicious and easy gluten-free donuts perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup gluten free all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the gluten-free flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk, applesauce, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth and dip the top of each donut into the glaze. Let set before serving.

Notes

Store the donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
