Description

Deliciously airy gluten-free chocolate profiteroles filled with whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup gluten-free flour blend
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil.
  3. Add gluten-free flour and salt, stirring until the mixture forms a ball.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden.
  8. For the filling, whip heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  9. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
  10. Once the profiteroles are cool, fill them with whipped cream and drizzle with melted chocolate before serving.

Notes

You can fill the profiteroles with different flavors of whipped cream or custard. Ensure the gluten-free flour blend is suitable for baking.
