Description

Delicious gluten-free cookies inspired by traditional baklava, featuring rich nutty flavors and a chewy texture.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup ground walnuts
  • 1 cup ground almonds
  • 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup additional honey (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet.
  2. Mix ground walnuts, ground almonds, gluten-free flour, melted butter, honey, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until a dough forms.
  3. Shape the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Flatten each ball gently and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Drizzle with additional honey while still warm.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.
