Ingredients

- 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, drained and crumbled
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp black salt (kala namak) or regular salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 cup diced bell peppers (optional)
- 1/4 cup diced onions (optional)
- Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Add diced onions and bell peppers if using, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Crumble the tofu into the pan and stir to combine.
- Sprinkle turmeric, black salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder over the tofu. Mix well.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tofu is heated through and slightly browned.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley if desired.
- Serve warm with toast or tortillas.

- Use black salt (kala namak) for an egg-like flavor.
- Adjust spices to taste.
