Description
Thumbprint jam cookies are buttery, tender treats with a sweet jam center. They’re easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup jam (any flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg yolks and vanilla.
- Mix in flour and salt until combined.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet.
- Press your thumb into the center of each ball to make an indentation.
- Fill each indentation with 1/2 teaspoon jam.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Use room-temperature butter for easy mixing.
- Choose any jam flavor you prefer.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
