A delicious and easy-to-make sweet and sour shrimp dish with a perfect balance of flavors.
Ingredients

- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup sweet and sour sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Coat shrimp in cornstarch and shake off excess.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry shrimp until golden. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté bell peppers, onion, and pineapple for 3 minutes.
- Add garlic and ginger, stir for 1 minute.
- Return shrimp to the pan and add sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for 2 minutes until everything is well coated and heated.
- Serve hot with rice.
Notes
- Use fresh shrimp for best flavor.
- Adjust sauce to taste by adding more soy sauce or sweetener.
- For extra crunch, add cashews or water chestnuts.
