Spider Web Chocolate Chip Cookies are a fun and spooky twist on classic chocolate chip cookies, perfect for Halloween.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup black icing for spider web design
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the baking sheet. Flatten slightly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool cookies completely. Pipe black icing in a spider web design.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For extra crunch, add 1/4 cup chopped nuts.
- Use white icing for a different spider web effect.
