  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  3. Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  4. Stir in grated apples and walnuts. Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until combined.
  5. Spread batter into the pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool cake completely.
  7. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, then frost the cake.
