Description
These spaghetti garlic bread bowls combine saucy beef pasta with buttery, cheesy bread rolls—perfect for any cozy dinner or party meal.
Ingredients
Olive oil for cooking
1 medium white onion, finely diced
2 garlic cloves, finely diced
500g ground beef (12% fat)
1 tablespoon tomato puree
80ml red wine
500g tomato passata
240ml beef stock
½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ bunch fresh basil, chopped
½ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon sugar
20g freshly grated parmesan
200g spaghetti
6 crusty white rolls
100g butter, melted
30g parmesan for butter
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, made into paste
200g mozzarella, shredded
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil and sauté diced onion and garlic until soft.
2. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
3. Stir in tomato puree and red wine; simmer for 2 minutes.
4. Add passata, beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, sugar, and basil.
5. Simmer sauce for 20–25 minutes; stir in parmesan at the end.
6. Cook spaghetti until slightly under al dente and toss with sauce.
7. Preheat oven to 375°F. Hollow out rolls.
8. Mix garlic paste, melted butter, parmesan, and parsley. Brush inside rolls.
9. Toast rolls for 8 minutes until golden.
10. Fill each with sauced spaghetti, top with mozzarella and more parmesan.
11. Bake 12–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
12. Let cool slightly and serve warm.
Notes
Use firm rolls for best results.
Add chili flakes to garlic butter for heat.
