Description
A delicious and easy slow cooker apple butter recipe infused with warm fall spices. Perfect for spreading on toast, pancakes, or using in desserts.

- 5 lbs apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup apple cider or water
Instructions
- Place chopped apples in the slow cooker.
- Add sugars, spices, salt, and apple cider. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on low for 10 hours, stirring occasionally.
- After 10 hours, uncover and stir in vanilla extract.
- Use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth.
- Cook uncovered for another 1-2 hours to thicken.
- Let cool before transferring to jars.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
- Freeze for longer storage.
