- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp red food coloring
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl.
- Add warm milk, egg, food coloring, and melted butter. Knead until smooth.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Roll dough into a rectangle. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll tightly and cut into 12 slices. Place in baking dish.
- Let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes.
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Frost warm rolls.
Notes
- Store leftovers covered at room temperature for 2 days.
- Freeze unbaked rolls for later use.
