Ingredients

  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl.
  2. Add warm milk, egg, food coloring, and melted butter. Knead until smooth.
  3. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Roll tightly and cut into 12 slices. Place in baking dish.
  6. Let rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes.
  8. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Frost warm rolls.
