- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warm milk, water, melted butter, egg, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice. Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and roll it into a 12×20-inch rectangle.
- Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Cut the dough into 6 strips, stack them, and slice into 6 squares.
- Place squares into a greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving.

- Use fresh pumpkin puree for best results.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for better texture.
- Serve warm with a drizzle of icing if desired.
