- 1/3 cup brown sugar

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda

- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup hot water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, molasses, brown sugar, oil, and egg.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients. Stir in hot water.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
