Ingredients

- 12 large sea scallops
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
Instructions
- Pat the scallops dry with paper towels.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes per side.
- Add butter and baste the scallops for extra flavor.
- Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

- Dry scallops sear better.
- Use a hot pan for a crisp crust.
- Avoid overcrowding the pan.
