Description

Delicious Halloween-themed cupcakes with orange and black buttercream frosting, perfect for parties.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Orange and black food coloring
  • 1 1/2 cups buttercream frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  4. Divide batter into two portions. Add orange food coloring to one and black to the other.
  5. Fill cupcake liners halfway with orange batter, then top with black batter. Swirl gently.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  7. Frost with orange and black buttercream using a piping bag.
