Description

A quick and flavorful one-skillet meal featuring spicy sausage and pasta in a tangy honey BBQ sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb spicy Italian sausage, sliced
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned.
  2. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in pasta, BBQ sauce, honey, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12 minutes until pasta is tender.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust spice level by using mild sausage if preferred.
