A quick and flavorful one-skillet meal featuring spicy sausage and pasta in a tangy honey BBQ sauce.

- 1 lb spicy Italian sausage, sliced
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned.
- Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in pasta, BBQ sauce, honey, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12 minutes until pasta is tender.
- Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust spice level by using mild sausage if preferred.
- For extra heat, add red pepper flakes to taste.
- Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 3 days.
