Ingredients

- 2 cups mushrooms, chopped
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Sauté onions and garlic in olive oil until soft.
- Add mushrooms, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook until mushrooms release moisture.
- Roll out puff pastry and spoon mushroom mixture onto the center.
- Fold pastry over the filling, sealing edges with egg wash.
- Brush top with egg wash and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
- Use any mushroom variety.
- For a vegan version, skip the egg wash.
- Serve with gravy or salad.
