- 500g ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 400g canned tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
Instructions
- Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the meatballs on all sides.
- Add canned tomatoes, oregano, and basil to the pan.
- Simmer for 20 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot with pasta or bread.
Notes
- Use fresh herbs for better flavor.
- For a lighter version, use ground turkey instead of beef.
- Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
