Description
A classic green bean casserole you can prepare ahead for Thanksgiving, saving you time on the big day.
Ingredients

- 2 cans (10.5 oz each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cans (14.5 oz each) green beans, drained
- 1 1/3 cups French-fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Stir in green beans and 2/3 cup of the onions.
- Spoon into a 3-quart baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until hot.
- Stir. Top with remaining onions.
- Bake 5 more minutes until onions are golden.
Notes
- Make up to 2 days ahead. Cover and refrigerate before baking.
- For crispier onions, add them just before the final bake.
- Substitute fresh green beans if preferred.
