Description
A simple yet flavorful side dish featuring crisp green beans tossed in a lemon-garlic sauce and topped with toasted almonds.

- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to boil and blanch green beans for 2-3 minutes until bright green.
- Drain and rinse beans under cold water to stop cooking.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Toss in green beans and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Add lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for another minute, then remove from heat.
- Sprinkle toasted almonds on top before serving.
Notes
- Toast almonds in a dry pan for 2-3 minutes until golden.
- Adjust lemon to your taste preference.
- Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 2 days.
