Description

A simple yet flavorful side dish featuring crisp green beans tossed in a lemon-garlic sauce and topped with toasted almonds.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to boil and blanch green beans for 2-3 minutes until bright green.
  2. Drain and rinse beans under cold water to stop cooking.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Toss in green beans and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  6. Add lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  7. Cook for another minute, then remove from heat.
  8. Sprinkle toasted almonds on top before serving.

Notes

  • Toast almonds in a dry pan for 2-3 minutes until golden.
