Ingredients

- 2 slices of sourdough bread
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 Honeycrisp apple, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place one slice, buttered side down, in the skillet.
- Layer cheese and apple slices on the bread.
- Top with the second bread slice, buttered side up.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese melts.
- Remove from heat, slice, and serve.
Notes
- Use a mandoline for even apple slices.
- Substitute sourdough with whole grain bread if preferred.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor.
