Delicious brownies with a creamy Halloween-themed cream cheese swirl.

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Orange and black food coloring (for Halloween swirl)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Mix melted butter and sugar in another bowl. Add eggs and vanilla, stirring until smooth.
- Fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined. Spread batter into the pan.
- Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth. Divide into two bowls and tint one orange and one black.
- Drop spoonfuls of colored cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter. Swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before cutting.
Notes
- Use gel food coloring for vibrant colors.
- Let brownies cool completely for clean cuts.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
