Ingredients

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 Honeycrisp apples, peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture.
  5. Fold in diced apples. Pour batter into the pan.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Warm honey and drizzle over the cake. Mix cinnamon with powdered sugar and milk for the drizzle.
