- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 Honeycrisp apples, peeled and diced
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture.
- Fold in diced apples. Pour batter into the pan.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Warm honey and drizzle over the cake. Mix cinnamon with powdered sugar and milk for the drizzle.
