Description

A quick and flavorful one-pan meal with garlic butter shrimp and rice.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup white rice, uncooked
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink.
  4. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add rice and broth. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until rice is cooked.
  7. Return shrimp to the skillet and stir in lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp for best flavor.
  • Adjust spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
  • Substitute brown rice for white rice if preferred.
