Warm and spiced mulled wine perfect for cold evenings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 750 ml red wine
- 1 orange, sliced
- 8 cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 star anise
- 2 tbsp honey or sugar
- Optional: 60 ml brandy
Instructions
- Pour wine into a pot and heat gently.
- Add orange slices, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and star anise.
- Stir in honey or sugar until dissolved.
- Simmer for 15 minutes (do not boil).
- Remove from heat and add brandy if using.
- Strain into mugs and serve warm.
Notes
- Use a dry red wine like Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon.
- Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Serve immediately for best flavor.
