Description

Ingredients

  • 750 ml red wine
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 8 cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 tbsp honey or sugar
  • Optional: 60 ml brandy

Instructions

  1. Pour wine into a pot and heat gently.
  2. Add orange slices, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and star anise.
  3. Stir in honey or sugar until dissolved.
  4. Simmer for 15 minutes (do not boil).
  5. Remove from heat and add brandy if using.
  6. Strain into mugs and serve warm.
