Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded
  • 1 cup wild rice, uncooked
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Add wild rice, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Stir in shredded turkey, heavy cream, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  6. Simmer for another 10 minutes until heated through.
  7. Serve hot.
