Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta (any shape)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup water (optional for thinning)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
  2. Blend sunflower seeds, olive oil, garlic, basil, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a food processor until smooth.
  3. If the pesto is too thick, add water and blend again.
  4. Toss the cooked pasta with the pesto sauce.
  5. Serve immediately.
