- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Brown sausage in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, broth, and seasonings.
- Bring to a boil, then add broken lasagna noodles.
- Simmer for 15 minutes or until noodles are tender.
- Reduce heat, stir in ricotta and heavy cream.
- Top with mozzarella and let melt slightly.
- Serve hot garnished with fresh basil.
