Description

Beef Stroganoff is a classic Russian dish featuring tender strips of beef in a creamy mushroom sauce, served over noodles or rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onion and mushrooms until softened.
  4. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Stir well.
  6. Return beef to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
  8. Season with salt and pepper.
  9. Garnish with parsley and serve over noodles or rice.
