- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, oil, eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Pour batter into the pan.
- Swirl softened cream cheese into the batter using a knife.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool before glazing with maple syrup and powdered sugar mixture.
Notes
- Use room temperature cream cheese for easy swirling.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread tender.
- Adjust maple glaze consistency with more syrup or powdered sugar.
