Ingredients

  • 4 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil sweet potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.
  2. Drain and mash the potatoes until smooth.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown.
  4. Add brown butter, milk, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes. Mix well.
  5. Toast pecans in a dry pan for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Top the mashed sweet potatoes with toasted pecans before serving.
