Yaki Udon is a delicious Japanese stir-fried noodle dish packed with flavor and simple to make.


Ingredients

  • 400g udon noodles
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 200g cabbage, shredded
  • 100g mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook udon noodles according to package instructions, then drain and rinse.
  2. Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add onion, carrot, bell pepper, cabbage, mushrooms, and garlic. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add cooked udon noodles to the pan.
  5. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, mirin, and sugar in a bowl, then pour over noodles.
  6. Toss everything together and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with green onions before serving.
