Description

Quick, flavorful, and perfect for busy weeknights—this beef and pepper rice bowl comes together in under 30 minutes using simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

2 tablespoons butter

1 medium onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 jalapeno, diced

1 pound ground beef

½ cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: rice

Instructions

1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened.

2. Stir in diced bell peppers and jalapeño. Cook for about 5 minutes until slightly tender.

3. Add ground beef to the skillet. Brown the meat, breaking it up with a spoon.

4. Once cooked through, add soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

5. Simmer for 5 minutes until flavors meld and sauce thickens slightly.

6. Serve hot over cooked rice with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Use low-sodium soy sauce if preferred.

Store leftovers in separate containers for easy meal prep.

Add chili crisp or a fried egg for extra flavor.
