- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a pan, mix shredded chicken with BBQ sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat. Set aside.
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour to make a roux.
- Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Cook until slightly thickened.
- Add shredded cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until melted and creamy.
- Mix in cooked macaroni and BBQ chicken. Stir to combine.
- Serve warm.
