- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For glaze: 1/4 cup butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a donut pan.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix apple cider, sugars, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fill donut pan cavities 2/3 full. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- For glaze, brown butter in a pan. Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Dip cooled donuts in glaze and let set.
Notes
- Don’t overmix batter for tender donuts.
- Fresh apple cider works best.
- Store glazed donuts in an airtight container.
