Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For glaze: 1/4 cup butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a donut pan.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, mix apple cider, sugars, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fill donut pan cavities 2/3 full. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  6. For glaze, brown butter in a pan. Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla.
  7. Dip cooled donuts in glaze and let set.

Notes

  • Don’t overmix batter for tender donuts.
