Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 12 oz beer (lager or ale)
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Stir in shredded cheddar and crumbled bacon.
- Pour beer into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Transfer batter to the prepared loaf pan.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes before slicing.

- Use room-temperature beer for best results.
- Let bread cool slightly before slicing for cleaner cuts.
