Description

Make crispy falafel in your air fryer with a creamy tahini sauce. This recipe is quick, easy, and packed with flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dried chickpeas (soaked overnight)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Drain soaked chickpeas and pat dry.
  2. Blend chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, and salt in a food processor.
  3. Add baking soda and flour, then pulse to combine.
  4. Form mixture into small balls or patties.
  5. Brush with olive oil and air fry at 375°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Mix tahini, lemon juice, and water to make the sauce.
  7. Serve falafel hot with tahini sauce.

Notes

  • Soak chickpeas for at least 12 hours.
  • Do not use canned chickpeas.
  • Adjust spices to your taste.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
